Blackwater Junction Resturant in Andover

Definitely not as good as it used to be. Seafood chowder seemed like they had clam and corn chowder left over, added some imitation seafood and called it seafood chowder. Probably won't return.

This is the first time I have been in here sense they reopened. And I must say I was disappointed they still don’t seem to have systems in place and seem disorganized.They did not seem to be able to clean tables off quickly even though they had people waiting.Overall service was ok at best I though the coffee was really bad.As for food I had traditionally hash and eggs which was not very good, lacked flavor and 2 of my 3 over easy eggs were already broken and they forgot my side of home fries I ordered.They seem to have a lot of work to do before they hit the standard of what it once was I will give it a try again in a month or so and hope they improve . Yes 3 stars is being pretty generous I am hoping for improvement 🤗

A wonderful place. It is clean and well lit by natural light. The food is delicious and came out very quickly. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly.

Food was amazing and the waitresses were great as well, never had a better country fried steak than here .Prices are reasonable as well so you can definitely get a bang for your buck, will recommend to all my friends 😁

Looks a bit beat up on the exterior, and I foolishly avoided this place for years... but, the inside is clean and new. Wait staff is attentive, and friendly. Food is perfectly prepared, and fresh. Great options, such as home fries with or without onions. Prices are reasonable. I just need to remember to bring cash along.

Excellent omelettes! Huge! Amazing home fries - especially with onions! The staff is very friendly and so attentive! Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast! Incredible sounding lunch menu as well!

I've driven past this place for years, it was always busy. We stoped in today, found what my Dad would call a coffee shop. Asked a few people and all said try the sea food. So we did, clams w/belly's and haddock nuggets. With onion rings and beets. She had belly's with sea scallops. It was fresh, cooked just right. Good portion. Try this place. Oh one thing they only take cash. Not a big deal just be aware.

Mt. Kearsarge burger is the best burger in the world and it's not even close!

Glad to see they reopened. Used to eat there periodically before the place closed. Only knew that it had reopened through word of mouth. Had the Fried Haddock Burger. Haddock filet seemed to be broiled rather than deep fried. Had a sort of orange coating rather than the traditional deep fried coating. I'd prefer broiled to deep (or shallow) fried fish, anyway. Just would like to know what I'm ordering. Had my favorite side of pickled beets; missed that while they were closed. Building renovated. Outside looks good. Inside looks great; updated version of the original restaurant. You knew it was Blackwater Junction. Felt like home. Service was by several of the same staff from before. They were pleasant and friendly.
